My quilted projects published in the Australian Patchwork and Quilting in 2018
The Seasons of Canberra
“Seasons of Canberra” is a quilt which is very dear to my heart. This quilt was commissioned by a young couple wanting to capture their own story on a quilt. I just loved making this unique quilt. Each part of this quilt is a labour of love. All aspects of this quilt was designed especially for this quilt. I have even appliqued their beloved turtle on the quilt. Hopefully I get to do many more like this.
“Seasons of Canberra: is also published in the May Issue of the Australian Patchwork and Quilting Magazine. Sorry to say that this is one of my last quilts to be published in the AP&Q magazine as the magazine will cease publication from 30 June onwards.
The Soccer Ball Quilt
The “Soccer Ball Quilt”, this quilt was made for my son when he was 11. He wanted to play soccer like Lionel Messi. He also got orange soccer boots like Messi. To capture his dreams at 11 I made this quilt for him. Using the the soccer ball novelty print and Helen Smith my favourite long arm quilter quilted soccer balls right through the quilt to capture the them of the quilt. After all these years the Australian Patchwork and Quilting Magazine wanted to publish my quilt. You will find this in the April issue of the AP&Q.
