Table 1

Block Template/Patch Fabric Patch Count Total Patch Count
B A From background fabric Cut 1 Cut 32
C From background fabric Cut 1 Cut 32
  • Cut out template A and C as shown below.
  • Please note that once the template has been cut out on the fabric I refer to it as a patch.

The instructions below are to complete block B of the Purple Delight Log Cabin Quilt.

  • Step 1 – Start by sewing the inner curve of block B.  Fold patch C in half to to find the centre point of the rainbow curve and snip.  Then fold the curved strip in half and find the centre point of the inner curve and snip.  Pin the two points together.
  • Step 2 – As show in step 2, continue pinning patch C onto the inner curve of the rainbow.
  • Step 3 – Start sewing along the seam line by turning on rainbow curve side.
  • Step 4/5 – Once you have sewn all around the curve, flatten and press as shown in step 4 and 5.
  • Step 6 – Similarly, join patch A to the outer of the rainbow curve by following steps 1-3.
  • This brings you to the completion of block B.
